Is this still the CARAS/PASD Alt Sex Conference?
If so, then what's new?

YES! Multiplicity of the Erotic (MOTE) Conference is a re-invention and transformation of the PASD/CARAS Conference on Alternative Sexualities.

For over 10 years, PASD - Programs Advancing Sexual Diversity, and CARAS - The Community Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities have collaborated to present cutting-edge research, as well as the most current clinical approaches to diverse sexual expressions and identities.

Will kink-identified clinicians be meeting as we have done in past CARAS Conferences?

We are collaborating with wonderful new partners to bring the Multiplicity of the Erotic Conference to you on a bi-annual schedule.

The Multiplicity of the Erotic will address a larger range of diversity around sexuality, gender and relationships, focus on the intersections of research, clinical work and professional practice, and present the latest ideas and findings on polyamory, consensual non-monogamies, kink/BDSM sexualities and identities, transgender/genderqueer/nonbinary

experiences, asexualities, sex worker studies, hierarchical (power-exchange) relationships, etc.

What are the the attendance fees?

Yes, on Saturday the 25th, we will have two break out groups for Kink Identified Clinicians andKink-Identified Researchers. This event is being held with the sponsorship of the IML - International Mister Leather Conference Committee. It will be held from 10 am-12pm at the:

Congress Plaza Hotel

520 South Michigan Ave

Chicago, IL 60605

We invite you to attend the product Marketplace at IML, with its large selection of fetish wear, BDSM gear and toys.
